About Poppy...

Poppy was born May 18th, 2007 out of "Raid the Wind Mountain Makeeda" and our own "Kai-Lyn's Carter of Mt. Airy". We drove down to Virginia for the Carter/Makeeda litter evaluation and returned to Canada with our beautiful big girl July 16th, 2007.

Poppy has a wonderfully sweet temperament with awesome movement, great structure, tons of play drive and confidence. She's been developing a very dark brown sable coat with well defined facial markings, full of rich red overtones! No faded coat color on this girl!

Many thanks to her breeder, Wendy Fullerton, and to mama Makeeda for raising such a beautiful litter. I dare say Poppy is almost as sweet as her mama! LOL Makeeda stole my heart from the moment I first met her. It's great to see her goofy-sweet personality coming forward in daughter, Poppy.

Poppy is developing into a striking, heavily boned young female. At 3 years of age she is 27" and 95lbs. At 11 months of age we had her color dopplered by a Cardiologist and she passed with a good heart report. She's also passed her OFA evaluations with "Excellent" hips and "Normal" elbows!

Poppy earned her Canine Good Citizen title at the May, 2008 ISSDC Specialty in Brookville PA. She also impressed the tester at her Herding Instinct test; "very keen but very biddable". She's also earned her IABCA International Championship in Gananoque, Ontario, September 2008!

Poppy produced a beautiful 1st litter in the fall of '09 consisting of 5 boys (1 smooth, 4 plush) and 2 girls (1 smooth and 1 plush). We plan to breed her this coming fall, so keep your eye on our Puppy News section!
