We welcomed 7 Holly/Kao puppies into the world on September27th! We have 4 boys, 3 girls - smooth and plush. Holly was my pick female from my Poppy/Chain litter. She's had a very special spark about her since she was born, taking very much after the personality of her smooth daddy Chain in so many ways. Holly is very amiable, attentive and affectionate, yet guarded enough to stand her ground when needed. Her smooth coat is a brilliant black, and I expect to see the Kai-Lyn trend of awesome color and pigment continue via her puppies. Holly has earned her Grand Victrix and National Select placements with the NSBR in the Smooth Coat Variety. She was also an NSBR Top Puppy. She's my only Smooth Coat, so I'm pretty proud of all that. Holly's brother/littermate "Augustine" produced the most wonderful litter with Sophia. If you've been following that litter you know what I'm talkin' 'bout! I see that Augustine's dam "Poppy" played quite heavily into their colors, and I'm thrilled to see so much presence of Grandpa Carter attributes. I'm anticipating Holly's puppies to be as equally impressive as those by Augustine. Holly's sire "Chain" is no doubt one of the most impressive smooth coated dogs in our breed. Chain leaves a legacy of very impressive smooth and plush coated Shilohs, with the Poppy/Chain litter being his last. Holly's dam "Poppy" I'm proud to say was my pick from the Carter/Makeeda Litter #1. Poppy produced two beautiful litters known for their heavy bone and rich colors. This will be Holly's first litter and I couldn't be happier with my choice of Kao as the sire of her puppies. I was SO impressed with Kao when I met him that I immediately inquired about pairing him with Holly. He's an incredibly substantial boy, perfect tail, lovely earset, beautiful head and expression, and best of all he's a total love-bug. While Kao has never seen a show-ring as his owner "just isn't into that", I will tell you from my years of experience that he is one very impressive boy. Kao's lines are equally impressive being 100% old line Shiloh with Brodie as his sire and Karma as his dam. Brodie has got to be one of the top show winning Shilohs ever, a tradition carried forward via his sons "Cash" and Kao's littermate "Raiden". Kao's dam Karma is a champion of pure ISSR old line Shiloh. I'm very excited about the combination of the these two lovely dogs. The puppy's pedigree will reflect outcrosses of 2 times Artus, in the 3rd and 5th generation, and 1 time Boz in the 5th generation. I expect smooth and plush puppies with great possibilities for bi-black, dual, grey sable and black/red sable coats. THANK YOU!!!!! Big beautiful Envy blessed Genesis Shilohs with 11 healthy pups by Carter, born over December 29/30 2010. Michelle wrote of the pairing: "We are thrilled to be pairing Envy with the outstanding Carter from Kai-Lyn Shilohs. Envy, is without a doubt the largest, most impressive smooth female I have personally seen. Envy is extremely tall, rivaling many males in size, she is masculine in her build with an outstanding head, good substance, lovely conformation, a perfect tail, a sweet, soft temperament and excellent hips! Carter is one of my favorite plush boys, he has a perfect head with proper dome, short, wide muzzle and small ears, he has great bone, great size, a proper tail and a wonderful, laidback temperament. We anticipate large pups with gorgeous heads, good bone, size and sweet temperaments, smooths and plushes anticipated." We can't wait to watch these pups mature! Litter #1 - 2007 Makeeda gave birth to 4 massive puppies on May 18th, 2007. She had 2 boys and 2 girls, and we kept one girl from this litter who we named Poppy. You can read more about Poppy here on this website. Litter #2 - 2008 Makeeda gave birth to Five beautiful girls on January 19th, 2008. All 5 Girls have gone to their new homes! Click here for more info on these beautiful princesses! Eternal thanks to Wendy Fullerton (Makeeda's mommy) of Raid the Wind Kennels for her vision to put Carter and Makeeda together. Their puppies are extraordinary. Phenix gave birth to 7 boys and 2 girls on February 8, 2008. Each puppy is being cherished and spoiled by their new owners! Thanks to Suzy Graham (Phenix's mommy) of Tantara Shiloh Shepherds for finding such adoring homes for each of the babes. I'm very impressed with this combination of lines! Old blood with new blood, and we have some gentle giants! Trinity gave birth to 4 boys and 3 girls on May 22, 2008. We've seen so much of Carter in his progeny to date, and the Trinity litter is no exception! Lucky Number '7' pops up again! Pepper gave birth to 4 boys and 3 girls on December 9, 2008. ONCE AGAIN, we're seeing so much of Carter in his progeny! Pepper's babies where probably the most consistent litter to date, and Barb and Doug Kirtley of Semper Fi Shilohs deserve über kudos on their first litter with Pepper. Pepper has proven to be a noteworthy, wonderful dam and we wish her every success on her future litters.
